Ships for Sale in Austria, produce, trend

Sales of ships in Austria have grown significantly over the past decade. Companies and individuals alike have embraced the potential of marine vessels in order to transport goods, services and even pleasure trips. In 2011 alone, a total of 110 ships were sold in Austria, with a total value of more than €22 million.

The majority of these vessels were purchased from shipyards located within the country, with 84% of all sales taking place in Austria. The remaining 16% of ships sold originated from other European countries, mostly Italy and Germany.

The types of ships that were most commonly sold in Austria during this time period include sailing boats, motorboats, cabin boats, and catamarans. Sailing boats made up the largest portion of sales, accounting for 50% of all vessels sold. Motorboats followed with 33%, and cabin boats and catamarans made up 13% each.

The trend of ship sales in Austria has been increasing steadily since 2011. A total of 173 vessels were sold in 2019, a 58% increase compared to the year before. Furthermore, the value of these ships has also gone up, with the average cost per vessel being around €50,000.

The majority of these vessels were sold directly from shipyards within Austria, with the most popular being located in Graz and Vienna. Other notable shipyards included Fischer Shipyard, Hof Shipyard, Mares Shipyard and Shipyard 4ever.

Over the past decade, Austria has seen a significant increase in the sale of ships, and the trend shows no sign of slowing in the future. The popularity of recreational vessels, along with the rising cost of materials for larger, industrial vessels, are likely to contribute to the continued growth of the industry in the coming years.
