Ships for Sale in China, produce, trend

The maritime industry in China has seen remarkable development in the past decade, becoming one of the world's leading maritime nations. According to the China Classification Society, there were 15,241 commercial vessels in service in China in 2019, up from 14,918 in 2018. This remarkable growth can be attributed to the efforts of Chinese shipyards to build and deliver ships of all sizes and types to meet the rising demand for ships in their nation.

From 2010 to 2018, the number of ships built in China increased by a remarkable 8.9%, with a total of nearly 6,000 ships delivered in 2018, accounting for nearly 40% of the global total ship deliveries. Of the ships in service in 2019, nearly three-quarters were dry bulker ships, which are large cargo ships used to transport bulk commodities like ore and coal. Container ships also made up a notable portion of ships in service in 2019, accounting for 8.6% of the vessels in service in China.

The number of ships delivered from Chinese shipyards varied from year to year. The highest number of total ship deliveries was seen in 2011, with a total of 8,044 vessels delivered to owners in China. The number of ships delivered gradually declined after 2011, but began to steadily increase from 2013 onwards. The number of ships delivered from Chinese shipyards in 2018 saw a significant rise from 2017, with a total of 5,956 ships delivered that year.

Chinese shipyards have made significant investments over the past decade in order to develop their capacity for larger and more advanced vessels. Currently, there are more than 150 commercial shipyards in operation in the country, with a wide variety of types and sizes of ships being built. Additionally, Chinese shipyards are increasingly investing in advanced technologies such as automation and robotics, enabling them to build larger and more complex ships.

Overall, the number of ships built in China and the diversity of types of ships that have been built over the last decade shows a remarkable level of development in the maritime industry. China has become a leader in the global shipbuilding industry, and its shipyards are expected to continue to invest in innovation and advanced technology in order to build larger and more advanced vessels in the years to come.
